We were saddened to learn recently that Weblog Tools Collection’s Mark Ghosh announced that he is leaving the popular site. We hope someone takes it over and continues the good work they have done so far. It got us wondering, where are the good resources for finding out about WordPress news?

Sites We Recommend

  • Post Status – Brian Krogsgard’s neat WordPress news and link curation site with user submissions and a gamification component.
  • WPDaily – John Saddington is doing a great job with regularly published content on a variety of WordPress topics.
  • WPForce – Get your WordPress news, events, theme releases, plugins, and more from Jonathan Dingman.
  • WPKube – Devesh Sharma’s site focuses on WordPress themes, plugins, tutorials, and news.
  • WPMayor – Brought to you by Jean Galea, he features WordPress news, hacks, reviews, and more.
  • WPMU – This site is jam-packed with stories about WordPress themes, plugins, and news.
  • WPRealm – A non-US-centric site that is gaining some momentum.
  • WPRoll – A very cool visual blogroll comprised of WordPress core contributors, theme & plugin developers, commercial authors and businesses.

Bonus: Quiet Sites that We’d Love to See Resurrected

  • WPCandy – Ryan Imel’s site was one we always appreciated. We see their second quarterly is at the printers, so maybe they can regain some mojo again.
  • WPTavern – Jeff Chandler found it difficult to maintain the pace of curating the news without the backing of a big company, but his forums were great back in the day.
