Despite paying for more feature-laden tools or implementing an open source solution, even these blog platforms are can be missing elements. What we’d like to see added in future releases:

  1. Offline Editing (since you are not always tethered to he Internet, you might want to generate posts for later upload)
  2. Tables (it should be easy to create a table and drop in text or images)
  3. Multiple Page Templates (some posts could have the same format, so it would be great to call up the one you need and plug in the content)
  4. Navigation (some internal pages require more cues than the main buttons or category listings)
  5. Image Management (while you may need a thumbnail image on a home page excerpt, it would be great to show the image in full size in the entire post view)
  6. Shopping Carts (while blogs are more suitable for conversations, those who feature products should be able to sell them easily)
