Just when you thought we forgot about our affiliate blog … We took the plunge and began signing up for some affiliate programs with publishing accounts this week.
Chitika
We headed over to Chitika because they are so blog-centric with their advertising. We were especially impressed with their Chitika | RPU program that brings related products right within a product-oriented story. We were approved for a Chitika | eMiniMalls account, which provides relevant content and comparative shopping information. We found it simple and easy to apply to Chitika and highly recommend it.
DoubleClick Performics
Then it was onto DoubleClick Performics. Another easy application and a fairly quick approval! We know that this is just the beginning of the process and we try to match our needs with the advertisers in the network.
LinkShare
LinkShare boasts the largest pay-for-performance affiliate marketing network on the Internet. The application process was quick, and access was immediate approval. We were able to begin to select advertisers to link to and approvals have been coming in steadily.
Shareasale
Shareasale FastTracked our application and we were given an account within the hour – sweet. We would say they were the most friendly, approachable, and helpful. We are looking forward to working with them.
Now that we have gotten approvals from these 4 big networks, we need to go back to our blog design and start to enhance the theme to accept the ads. We are almost ready to wrap up our affiliate blog and launch – wish us luck!
