Yesterday afternoon Automattic released WordPress 3.0 to the public.
While it’s an exciting upgrade, we are not recommending that you upgrade your sites at this time.
We are often hesitant to upgrade on what we call “zero” releases and tend to wait til the bugs shake out a bit before applying these types of updates to live blogs. Once 3.0.1 comes out, however, we will be happy to assist anyone who wants an upgrade at that time (we’re sure it won’t be long).
We understand that you may not want to wait. If that is true for you, please make sure you have a complete back up of your site before “pressing the button” to upgrade. With all the various plugins and configurations, we cannot guarantee that all of them will work with 3.0.
As always, we’ll try to help any of you who get yourselves stuck during this process.
